Porch Living

Wouldn't this be lovely!!
Summer Dream boasts over 500 square feet of porches . . . made for lazy summer days.

The dogtrot between the main house and the Sunrise Suite -- a popular feature in Old Florida cottages. This architectural detail was actually a practical feature in the days before central air conditioning. It allows air to flow freely between the rooms, keeping the spaces cooler on summer days. Today, with the curtains billowing in the breeze, its a dreamy place to spend a summer day.
Adults may choose to linger over a cocktail or a meal as children race off to their next adventure.
The upstairs balcony by the kitchen is the perfect place to grill the daily catch.

  1. Today is a very big day in the Where’s Wenda? Contest. I am visiting all of the SITS followers. Can I do it? There are around 1000 followers. Oh my! Better grab my cup of coffee and get on my way. Be sure to visit Hot Chocolate Caramel Mocha and Three Bay B Chicks as part of your contest entry.
